I have almost 10 years’ experience working in mental health and wellbeing services. I am also in the final stage of completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am a registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP; registration no. 384563) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) which means that I abide by their ethics and standards for good practice and conduct.
My clinical experience to date includes working with adults, families, children and adolescents both within public health services (NHS) and in mental health charity services. Within the NHS I have worked in a range of services within primary and secondary specialist care services. I have worked with clients experiencing a range of issues including, but not limited to, depression, self-esteem, anxiety & phobias, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
My past work experience includes working for several years as Service Manager in residential and supported living services in and around London. We supported adults with complex mental health difficulties to work towards their personalised goals and life aspirations.
I am also a qualified yoga teacher and I am interested in the link between mind and body and supporting people to think about their emotional wellbeing holistically. I have dedicated a portion of my yoga teaching career to providing group classes in mental health charity services.
